LEGO bricks are rectangular and as such we’ve come to expect fairly boxy LEGO constructions. Brick bending is a LEGO trend wherein people build curved LEGO forms using standard rectangular bricks.
How do you get bricks to bend? The secret is the tiny bit of play between each brick. It doesn’t seem like much if you’re building a 6″ wall of LEGO bricks but if you build a 36″ wall that little bit of wiggle between each brick allows you to wrap the wall in a complete circle. Watch the video above to see the process in action. While many of the brick benders do it simply to create unique and interesting designs out of LEGO bricks, there are fun applications too.
